George Whitefield Scotland in the 17th century]Very scarce two volume set of the complete journals and letters of Henry Martyn [1781 1812]. His biography and portions of his diary, edited by John Sargeant, were a staple of Christian devotion and tales of missionary heroism from his death in 1812 through to the early 20th century. However, his primary resource publication, as here, was never reprinted, largely because of its size and the popularity of Sargeant's work. Martyn was missionary to both
